Janice Cook Knight is an award-winning writer and cooking teacher based in Santa Barbara, California.
She worked for many years as a food coach, providing cooking lessons to individuals and families. Janice tested recipes for Bon Appetit Magazine, and developed a popular lecture on Julia Child for the Road Scholar Program. As a writer, her articles have been featured in Montecito Magazine, LA Yoga Magazine, and the Santa Barbara Independent, among others. She currently writes for Edible Santa Barbara.
For several years Janice was the head chef of the Follow Your Heart Restaurant in Canoga Park, California, and she is the author of the Follow Your Heart cookbooks.
Past cooking classes include jam and breadmaking classes at Fairview Gardens Farm and the Center for Urban Agriculture near Santa Barbara, Indian cooking classes for the Adult Ed program at Santa Barbara City College, cookbook writing workshops, and programs for local public schools. Recently she taught for the Santa Barbara Food Bank's Teens Love Cooking Program.
